The end is in sight for my project of the Entirely Random Arbitrary goal I set, “cough” years ago, to make a certain amount of model trains before starting anything else. Now I’m getting distracted because, of course I am.
One part of this is some small scale archaeology I’ve been doing in the cardboard box graveyard in the attic. This turned up these sorry specimens which I was building for the rather silly “pulp” games I’m getting increasingly distracted by. These were supposed to be a couple of rather down at heel buildings in some far flung corner of Empire, ordered by some pen-pusher and built cheaply to a standardised plan with no consideration for their suitability for their location.
Two of these were finished some time ago, but these had languished for a bit longer because of the aforementioned determination not to get distracted.
As I recall the building above was supposed to be some kind of command centre and the one below was just another nondescript dingy hut, made so badly it would be cold and mouldy in the middle of a desert in summer.
They’ll need a bit of work, but I reckon I can make them pretty awful if I try hard…
